Need to go back and rework some of my other shots, but this one I spent quite a bit of time. It's a 16 shot pixel shift photo, run through the latest Sony Imaging Edge Viewer converted to an ARQ file with the stabilize option enabled. Then run through PixelShift2DNG, brought into Lightroom, then into Adobe Photoshop, and finally through Topaz Sharpen AI.
No tripods allowed, but was able to get a sharp shot at 0.4s, even though I was using a 15mm shift lens without electronic contacts and when shifted I'm not certain the IBIS is as effective as with a native lens. This is a merge of two shots.
A7R-5 + 200-600mm
I just got the camera 12 days ago.
Still have my R4 which has been a great camera. I'm new here. This is my 4th post, I think.
I've been practicing wildlife photography for a while.
I do not know this camera just yet , but I'm getting there. A couple of things have me puzzled.
My R4 when set to aps-c mode will shoot 10fps uncompressed raw.
The new R5 can only manage 7 frames per second in the same mode. If anyone knows why this is, please let me know. It may be that the new R5 just can't go 10fps in aps-c + uncompressed raw.
I don't know.

I don't have the R5 but I am guessing, in the AF/MA setting, if the "priority" setting is set to "Balance Emphasis" instead of "Release", the camera may not achieve the max. frame rate per second. When the camera doesn't detect the subject is in focus, it will not take the shot. I always set mine to "release".
And I see very little reason not to shoot lossless compressed.

I just saw this thanks to a member burying the page with 8 photos of the same thing. Whom was instantly placed on ignore.
But I checked and , that's not the solution. I think maybe somethings just a little different on the R5.
7FPS may be all I can get shooting uncompressed in APS-C mode. But, thanks for the reply.

Welcome to the forums. You will find that topic threads with "Image Thread" in the title are primarily for members to share images for the titular camera or lens and/or react to those images, ask questions about them, etc. You can certainly ask your question here, just don't be surprised if there are others, like me, posting their images. You also may find your question gets more exposure either in the launch thread linked below or by starting a new topic. Here is that topic thread:
My A7R5 arrived last night. The only bird close by today after work was this little guy. He was quite a far distance, so not the greatest detail, but I like this composition. And the R5 locked right onto his eye instantly!

Got out this morning with the A7R5 which had the 200-600mm attached. Was early enough for some nice morning light and got some nice situations for shooting.
