Have chase pygmy owl for a veryvery long time and this weekend was my first encounter with it in very bad conditions with light rain and poor light, after sitting very high both Saturday and Sunday in the middle of branches and up to the sky, it started hunting and caught a mouse, an absolutely wonderful encounter and is one of my favorite birds that I have always wanted to see
have a nice week

Wow Ronny these are all beautiful. It's nice when you finally find an owl you have been searching for. (mine is the Great Grey hopefully this winter). You got some great catches here, the rodent is really quite large for that little owl. Very similar to the Pygmy owl I saw a few years ago in Costa Rica. Really nice detail you caught.
Stunning series, this little owl makes me also crazy for a couple of years, but after find it.....im chasing again and again. Hope you will see more often YGMV for this beautiful series.

Amazing images, Ronny! I really enjoy all of them but too bad for the rodent. It seemed in the last images that it was still alive… YGMV!

Hi Ronny,
You have a superb set here. 2, 3, 6, 7 and 8 are my favorites
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, #7 sure invokes at least a thousand! These are incredible images Ronny, that mouse almost dwarfs this owl. Tricky light, great work on the presentation, really some images of impact here, happy for you and your encounter good friend! YGMV
