It's about as close to that California vibe as your going to get but with a way better music scene. We hang with some close dear friends of ours in Horseshoe Bay, about 30 mins outside of Austin.

I have friends playing in Smithville, just east of Austin tomorrow night. But let's not take anything away from the wonderful music scene here in L.A. The Texas scene is perhaps more focused but the L.A. scene might be more diverse. Gee is playing accordion tomorrow night with the local Klezmer/Rock band Mostly Kosher somewhere in West L.A.. Will be a fun night.
