Great stuff, Matt. Never tire of seeing and/or shooting eagles.
I guess the birds were late showing up this year. I was heading down first of November but local info was that the birds weren't there yet. So canceled my trip. Maybe see you down there next year Gw.

The formal counts were good this year. I'm excited to lead groups there next year. Last year, the Chilkoot was excellent. I just love the colors in there.

Nice set , i think the last one is number 1
But you can also shoot eagles in Carbondale !!!
Thank you !
We have an active nest right now on the Crystal River. I don't shoot too many in Carbondale. It's tough to compete with the 2,000-3,000 in Haines. I do catch myself going out every now and then to get my 'Eagle Fix'.
Nice set of photos! Must be great fun to see so many eagles. We have enough around here to provide some opportunities but not going to see very many on an outing. Being able to throw in those scenic backgrounds really adds to the overall set. I like that second closeup the best.

That is great. I love seeing them increase their population in the lower 48.

Always great to see that many eagles. One of my favorite things with this many eagles is the sounds. Love hearing them chatter all day, and miss it when I go home.
