Had quite a show from a group of Hooded Mergansers the other day. They do put on a show-off for you, I tried capturing some of what was going on out in front of me in this group of images.

Excellent and enjoyable captures, Louie! And yes, it is fun watching them doing the merganser things . What did the male merganser catch in #3 and #4? In my neck of the wood, their favorite catch is crayfish.

Joshua thanks very much your kind words mean a great deal to me. As to the fish, I have no idea however shortly after shooting this sequence and KF appeared and perched on a tree branch and came up from numerous dives with what looked like the exact same sort of fish.
