In late June this year visited Iceland and had an opportunity to visit Brúarfoss. Absolutely incredible location and it's said to be the bluest waterfall in Iceland. I had seen so many images prior to my Iceland trip that it was on top of my list.. The waterfall is fed by the Brúará River, which is glacier melt from Langjökull glacier. This glacial water is what gives Brúarfoss its sky blue color.
I was fortunate to have beautiful weather on the day of hike. The night before it had rained so the hike was very messy. Had to walk thru lots of muddy areas due to rain. The hike was mostly flat but the rain made it difficult. The views of River Brúara are so amazing that the 8KM round trip didn't seem that bad. You hike right next to the river and there are lot's of photo opportunities.
First falls you see is Hlauptungufoss which sits at about the halfway point to Brúarfoss. Just a short walk later you arrive at Midfoss. After a little more walking, you will arrive at Brúarfoss. There is a wooden bridge spanning the river, a great place to take photos. There is a little path that takes you under the bridge which has good views but the best images are from the bridge.
Here is set of 7 images from my hike.
Thanks for taking the time to view and welcome all CC
Beautiful water and perfect shutter speed to capture the feel of the rushing stream. I think the first image is cool as it shows the stream taking a deep dive into the canyon. For printing, I would pick the 2nd to last image. Very nice series!
Thank you, I was very lucky with weather conditions. I had only 3 really tough days with rain, fog, and winds. Even in those conditions I was able to manage as I had gone prepared for all types of weather. Rain and fog were manageable but winds were something else.

very nice set - thanks for sharing (so jealous of those blue skies)
Thanks Jung, when I first arrived at the falls I was just blown away by the beauty. I just stood on the bridge to take it all in. Glad you liked the images.

Parul - Glad you got to have this experience. #4 is my pick with the final image a close second.
Thanks Rajan, definitely it was an amazing experience and to view such an amazing place was unreal. I was only going to post the #4 & 6 but decided to post the first 3 as anyone else planning a visit would know what it is like to hike to the falls. The water color is unreal!

Thanks David, this was definitely a place that one has to put their camera aside at the main falls and enjoy viewing it. I was honored when a very good friend of mine asked for one of images to be printed in metal. It really came out nice. This location was only a 10 minute walk thru a private property but due to lack of respect and increase in traffic the owner closed the route. Now the only way to get there is an 8km round trip hike. Flat but gets very muddy if there is rain.
Thank you, you will not be disappointed hiking to this falls. I actually saw few people on the right side of the falls but I feel the best views are from the bridge.

Thanks Peter, appreciate the comment and glad that the PP turned out fine. For me PP is difficult as every time I look at it, I keep messing with it. Yes, I am happy the way this set turned out. The main images 3, 4 ,and 5. I just posted a few more so that viewers or someone planning a visit has an idea of what they would be able to see and shoot on this hike to the main falls.

Thanks Scott!
Yes, this is quite a location to visit. Initially I was going to post only the last 4 images then I decided to post additional 3 so that folks planning a visit get an idea of what views they can get while hiking towards the falls. Glad you enjoyed it.
