Mounted the steel rim on my CL with L-M adapter. In my next life I’ll still be doing penance for having unfairly looked down my snoot at crop sensors, considering them inferior to my FF sensor cams. Crazy love for the CL.
These days my only post is using tools in ACR and presets (because I've gotten lazy). I went for a washed out beach vibe.

Downtown Key West on a Saturday night is great for street shots, but especially in December when all the holiday lights/decorations are out. I brought my M11M and 35 steel rim reissue which I haven’t given enough love to lately. All were shot f2/2.8, weighing my desire for a bit more sharpness against the glowy beauty of shooting wide open at f1.4.

I think the nice color science from the M240 series sensor pairs nicely with the SR.

I agree. The M240 sensor has a more distinctive character compared to the M10-R and, in my opinion, it complements the SR and vintage lenses better.
Well, then, I reckon that I should resume my quest to add a well-preserved M Type 262, to maximize my Re-Edition Steel Rim Summilux. (I started with a new M10, then added a pre-owned M Type 246 Monochrom.)

I found that with the M10-R, a camera I love, the out of camera DNGs are a little bit flat relative to other combinations. A touch of contrast like how you would sprinkle salt to taste makes it perfect. But it bothered me a little bit to have to edit contrast on each DNG.
As Sony-like as the M11 is, I found the M11 with the re-issue to produce just the perfect amount of out-of-camera contrast with the steel rim. I found it more enjoyable to use the lens on the M11 body.
The M-D sensor with its legendary warmth, contrast, and character seems to work even better than the M11. Sadly I don't have any type 240 cameras anymore to test.
Honorary mention to the M11 Monochrom. The specular highlights combined with the black and white sensor made for lovely portraits.
It surprises me to this day that I reach for the steel rim over other contemporary 35mm options.
