I have not tried that specific collar but I am interested. I have several other "Haoge" branded parts and all are very good quality. Nicely rounded edges and corners. No sharp edges like I've found on some other off-brand plates.
The "iShoot" brand collars tend to be good quality too. Supposedly their " IS-S135FE" collar also fits the Tamron 70-180. iShoot is helpful since they typically provide precise measurements in their photos. My 70-180 measures 62.0mm at the rear of the barrel which should work with the iShoot I.D. of 62.5mm.

Even for occasional tripod use, if the ability to rapidly change from landscape to portrait is wanted, only a collar can provide that. In the case of the 70-180, you do get that, unlike the common situation with eg Sony 135 1.8. Aftermarket collars for that and other lenses don't allow rotation.
I'm trying one of the iShoot IS-S135FE collars for my Tamron 70-180mm. It fits well and does allow rotation since the lens has no controls or raised markers on the barrel. I found a few sharp edges at the split in the ring which I filed down. The rest of device was nicely finished. The collar also fits my Tamron 17-28mm although I don't think I'll use it there. But it is nice that Tamron's sizing is consistent. It is also supposed to fit the 28-75mm lens. I cannot test that to confirm although based on the fit of the 17-28mm lens I would expect it to work.
I ordered the Haoge collar the OP linked to. I haven't had a chance to use it out in the field but the build quality seems good, the inside of the ring is lined with felt(?) and no sharp edges. Fits the lens well.
One of the Amazon (US) reviews points out that there isn't enough clearance if you are using a grip on your camera, which seems worth noting.
You can probably get away without a tripod ring for this lens (and I have in the past). I mainly bought this because I don't use an L bracket on my camera, and this will make it easier for me to shoot vertically on a tripod the few times a year I want to do that.
