p.1 #1 · Sony A7rIV / A7IV / A7C: made in China or Thailand?
I get controversial info about where those cameras are made. Some say China, others say Thailand. Could it be that the US market gets their cameras from Thailand due to the trade embargo and the rest of the world from China?
In case you are wondering why it matters: some people (myself included) do care where their gear is made. Whenever possible I avoid stuff from the P.R.C.

My A7C (Japan market model from initial launch) is made in China. No idea if all other production runs for all markets have also been made in China though.
My A9, A7II, A7R and my wife's A6300 (all are Japan market models from initial launch) are made in Thailand though.

Thanks everyone for the info. I don't see a clear pattern, maybe it is just random. Does anybody have an idea why some samples (of the same model) are made in China and others in Thailand?
