My early morning outing paid off on this morning with the appearance of a Green Heron. Within a blink of an eye this little heron appeared out of nowhere and for the next hour put on a show for me hopping from lily pad to lily pad. I don’t often see a Green Heron, they’re around here but stay hidden for the most part, so it was quite a treat for me on this morning.

Thanks Karl, this little guy was doing some fancy prancing around for me.
Judging by your shots this was quite the show !! No matter how good the show, timing on the shutter makes all the difference. You got great poses Louie, beautifully shot and presented !! My favorite's are # 3,5,7 and you gotta love # 6 the frog shot !!

What a treat these are Louie! He really gave you some magnificent poses. Each one a joy to view.
Great shots of this young bird. You mentioned lily pads. I've seen them walk on algae. I assume the Greenie let that frog go and didn't eat it. It probably would've been too much for the bird. It wouldn't have been too much for a Great Blue, let's say. But for a Greenie...probably.
