Ok, so I ordered one from the UK. With the current exchange rate it is $1400 cheaper than if I bought it in the US. Comes w full international warranty, not like the nonsense companies like Nikon do.

So much for it being cheaper. £400 on top of an MP. Nice one. I'll wait for the M6-P that has a screw instead of the red dot, a quieter shutter and can do 1/4000 😆
It's 100 GBP more than the MP in the UK. Not sure where you got 400 from.

Fred, you should know by now I’m messing! What could lens profiles do on a film image?
Some old film p&s cameras would record the date to the negative right in the corner of the image in that old school calculator font. And weren’t there some pro film cameras that would write exposure data onto the negative outside the image area?

My F6 records date and exposure data in between frames. After all these years I still have no idea what I am meant to do with it.

Analog EXIF!
Leica could add a six-bit code reader to the analog Ms with electronics (MP/new M6) and record the lens data between the frames in a small enough font to be worthy of spycraft

The print is so tiny that you need a freakin microscope to read what it says. I guess it could be handy if you are trying to figure out how your F6's infallible color matrix 3D metering drastically underexposed a back lit shot.
"Oh Jebediah, look, it missed it by 2 stops!"
'Well Ezekiel, just like if you used regular avg pattern metering.."

This is what I always groked about "modern" 645 AF bodies, they all did the date edgeprint thing. Which besides just the facts of shutter speed, ISO and f/stop, is also helpful a few years later when you think, "what did I shoot this with again?"

I think imprinting the date, time, focal length, exposure settings is useful information, why would it not be? Typically when film photography was mainstream, people would then look at the slides with a light table and loupe which gives enough magnification to read the markings. Checking focus, why the exposure might be off and when was the image taken are all useful information. Of course, if the film is cut then the information can be lost but at least when first receiving the film it's possible to see that information. If it is sent for processing and the images are picked up and inspected by someone else, the information of when it was shot and the photographer's id number in the staff could help identify what those images are that just came out of processing.

It’s best to assume he’s always joking at least 50% of the time. I do find @Desmolicious’ sense of humor great for the forum, or at least my consumption of it.

Or carry a note book.
Exactly! Btw, there is actually an app for this where all this information can be entered on the smartphone for a specific film/camera used. For the Android OS, it is called Exif Notes (not sure if it is the same for Apple OS).

No idea when it will show up..
Awesome. Please do a strip-down video so we can see what the new internal parts look like
