On Sunday, I took the last day gondola ride to Sunshine Meadows in Banff National Park, to check out the Larch progress.
Unfortunately, the colours were just barely starting to change.
Here are the best pictures of the day. These are all handheld - it was an hour after sunrise with lots of light. Experimenting with my light RF lens for backpacking. I had a tripod for AM sunrise but did not use it here because I was rushed for light hiking around the lake.
Comments and feedback are appreciated.

Beautiful scenery collection - peaceful and calm atmosphere
Glad you like the peace and calm - fall will be here in full next week - I am excited. Hopefully I can get more peace and calm in teh excitement. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
Scott what view in that first image! The second shot is awesome and inviting. Great take on the reflections of the third, shadows played in nicely. Nice take on the #4 seeing the little things along the way The last makes me want to sit for hours and watch the light change and enjoy the peace .......
Sweet set for sure.

Thanks Karl. My favourite in retrospect is the last like you. It was inspired partially by my recollection of Grant Mitchell shots in Yosemite of the rocks. I am going back to try for a big vista like the 1st on a tripod without smoke and Mt Assiniboine in the background this week. Thank you for your detailed comments. Much appreciated. Scott
