Between cataract surgeries, playing golf and personal matters, I have not been out taking pictures at local destinations lately. My motivation to do so became even less when the shooting conditions from a few short trips were not what they used to be. And the extremely hot conditions here in Southern California and then a big trip is coming up in a little over a week. Excuses, excuses, excuses… By the way, I am not sure whether I will have access to the internet and if, whether it is fast enough to visit this image-heavy forum for almost a month in a little over a week.
Anyway, I still have plenty of images from the last 3 visits to Ecuador that haven’t been posted or even worse yet, edited… But anyway here are a few of Antpittas. They are quite skittish birds and they live up in high cloud forests of Ecuador (and surrounding countries. They hop around on the forest floor and on fallen tree trunks in search of food, like grubs, worms, etc. I saw 3 species or varieties of Antpittas that morning and I am sharing some of their images here.
Thank you for stopping by and please feel free to leave any feedback,
Joshua
Joshua,
Beautiful set as usual and well done. I hope you have a great trip wherever you're going. As for myself I'll be out for a couple months, having a knee replacement next week. After that look out.

Thank you very much 2X, Chris S,! Knee replacement, huh? Wish you the best and I hope for a speedy recovery. My wife had both of hers replaced.
That's a beautiful bird Joshua. It's a first for me. Thanks for sharing. Best of luck on your upcoming trip and I'm already looking for to seeing those images.
