I recently hauled out the kayak for the first time since last summer. Carrying it to & from the shore is getting more difficult, as my balance and walking gets a little worse, but once I'm in, it's all good. I will put it away soon for the winter, and hopefully I can manage it next summer too.
Here's some recent shots taken from the kayak, all using the Sony 200-600 with 1.4 extender on A1
All great images with beautiful lighting. It looks like birds react differently to a kayak and are not as skittish. Those photos certainly created the temptation to go out and buy a kayak. The floating feather is a nice closure to the series.

A beautiful set of images Colin. I have been thinking about getting a kayak to shoot from. Your shots confirm it would be a great thing to do.

Thanks Dave. I use a small (10') plastic kayak, and only go out when it's dead calm. It certainly opens up some photo opportunities.
