The patterns created by grasses and sedges along the shore and their reflections in rippling water have been a longtime theme for me. The image loses quite a lot by downsizing (I tried a sequence of small downsizes, but it turns out a single downsize in PS looked the best), but this still may be worth sharing.
This is wonderful. Plays nicely in the mind. Busy and simple at that same time, the blue water gives a calming effect where as the grasses make for energy.
Great concept shot!

Not trying to be negative, but it drives my eyes crazy as if it is OOF. Glad others like it. Wonder if it is something else for me.
No problem. It's actually sharp at the single-pixel level (thanks to the Batis 135), as you can see from the attached 1000x1000 pixel crop. The problem is downsizing for the web - it just loses a lot from that - and the DOF doesn't *quite* cover the whole field of view.
I almost didn't post for that reason, but it still conveys something. I also worry that if I print it, if the print is too small it will also look a tad muddy; it needs full size (maybe print at 240 dpi) to separate the individual reeds/grasses.
A very nice image that grabs one's attention immediately! I would expect something like this to be processed as a black and white, but I think the color really works well with this image. It adds interest and depth to the overall scene. Nice work.
