The detail in this image is amazing, especially in the Grand Canyon where there is normally a haze lingering about. Another gorgeous image, Mark! Congratulations!!!
Sorry everyone, I have been on the road in the SW leading workshops for the last month! Its hard to catch up! Thank you very much and I did not know this won!

Beautiful shot! Very nice that there was no smoke from wildfires in the air.
For sure. Thank you! Crazy conditions, by chasing the light to the location!
Well, that’s a blessing to live that close. I used to live out of my vehicle out there for about six months at a time.
I spend many, many hundreds of hours on Google Earth Pro, and put 100’s of way points down where I think that there is extreme potential for photos. Then I go and four-wheel and see how it turns out. I have found so many new and unique locations this way, all over the place. When people ask me “has everything been done in the southwest?” I always chuckle, and say something like “just the opposite, most everything has NOT yet been done!” We just have to get a little bit adventurous and off the beaten path’s.
Then, occasionally, I get the opportunity to take just a few people that I trust and that will also gladly fill out a strict non-disclosure agreement, to these very special locations. I have a private workshop like this scheduled for fall where every location is 100% unique. For me it’s all great, but my favorite thing is finding super epic places that people do not go to. Nothing gives me, or them more euphoria. 😁

Beautiful shot! I live 2 hours drive south. Yet haven't been to the Canyon in 2 years. Just life in general getting in the way.
