Finally got a chance to sort through (kind of) the images took this month, most were taken early mornings between July 6th and 11th. Burrows were about 30 minutes drive from my home, Early July the activity was quite high near the burrow, all the owlets are now fledglings, and flying around quite a bit in the area. It was great fun watching and photographing them.
Comments and suggestions are appreciated.
These owls are so hilarious, so entertaining in their character! #10 just gets me good Love the warm light and all the eyes looking back at me, great job on the poses captured as well as the presentation of the series! Earned my vote.

These are some great burrowing owl images. Superb!
I agree with Greg that the fox kits and burrowing owls have been both been superb posts.

Beautiful set, Shibu. So entertaining. With the exception of the zombies in 13, in each of the group shots, at least one owl has that side-eyed cynical/sarcastic look on its face. Well done capturing these!!

Wow, these are jawdropping. Those little cuties!!! I love the juxtaposition of the shot of the owlets with their eyes closed and the one of them with their eyes open. Such a contrasting character in each!
