A portrait I recently took of my friend's roommate, Ahna, who I think looks a lot like both Taylor Swift and Michelle Pfeiffer.
Lit using natural light and a white reflector, and photographed using a Canon 5D MKIII with a Canon EF 135mm f/2.8 Softfocus lens (softfocus disabled, f/8, 1/200th sec, ISO 800).
This image is technically perfect Daniel, your work is always so clean. Lighting, composition, dof and pov are all perfect. And it possesses an emotional quality which engages the viewer, but not nearly so much as would direct eye contact. Perhaps that is the point, which makes this an exceptional portrait.

Thanks Derek. I took several photos with eye contact, but even still I felt this was the strongest shot.
