I just returned from a two week road trip driving around Iceland. I took more than 1500 photos so it is going to take sometime to sort through them. Besides the 1.5k photos I also took a few with my Mavic 2 drone. I seldom take abstract photos, but here is a sample of a braided river. The first is an overview and the last shows the camper that I drove all around the island. The images in between were taken looking straight down.

Nice work. Where did you rent the camper and what type was it? Was it easy to find places to camp? That sounds like the way to go.
Hi Jim,
I rented it from Campervan Reykjavik. Is is a 4x4 Toyota Hilux pickup with a small expandable camper. It was comfortable for one but would work for two if you really like each other. :-) It has an over the cab bed plus the dinette also makes into a bed. It has a built in sink with running water, a two burner stove top and a refrigerator. Also, a forced air heater which worked very well.
I "Free Camped" most nights (although you are not suppose to) but the are ~200 campgrounds all over the island.
If you have any more questions, please ask.

Beautiful…Looks like you nailed the weather
Going there in two weeks, also with a camper.
You are going to have a great time! The Lupine was just starting to bloom when I left so it should be close to peak when you get there. If you have any questions PM me and I'll try to answer them.

Nice shots. I don't see the camper anywhere.
The camper is located in the last shot about half way across near the top. If you look close, you can see me standing behind it with the controller. :-)

^^ How easy or hard to do this kind of a trip? Being handicapped, I can't go too far from the car, like on hikes etc.
That is a tough question as I don't know your limitations. There is a lot that can be photographed near the road but, there is a also a lot that involves short and long hikes. I'm old, fat and out of shape but, I did some hiking probably not more than a mile or so. There numerous photo workshops and tours offer year round, I would suggest those that look interesting you should email/talk to them and see if any of them meet you requirements.

Mr.G
Thanks. I can manage some walking. So might do on my own as I can then set things on my slower pace. I hear a lot of visitors go there now a days.
Powerful abstract images! Keep at it!
I had a photo and work trip planned for Iceland but got a false positive Covid test 2 days beforehand. Even with a true negative test afterward, they would not let me travel.. Aiming for 2023 now...
