Living in Las Vegas there is the constant spring wind battle when shooting out doors. We used the location to best of our ability to block the 45 mph gusts! Unfortunately I didn't get the variety I wanted but the end product was good. Overall I am happy with their package and they LOVED them!

They also enjoyed the dance!

Nice set. The 2nd and 3rd are my favorites, really like those! In the 4th photo his arm looks a little stiff, maybe better with his hand in his pocket or on her arm.

Chad,
Let me preface this by saying that I am a little OCD (ask my wife ). When I look at my own work the first thing I do is find the things that don't work or things that I missed "fixing" before I mashed the button and/or things that are just plain wrong (for lack of a better term). Please don't take my comments/critique as anything more than what I would look for if it was my work, which means absolutely nothing to anyone else but me.

So....anyway....here we go.

Image 1) He looks completely disinterested in the whole thing. I might have had them looking at each other and be engaged in the process of pinning on his boutonniere. The interaction might have sparked a smile in him and perhaps made him relax. I would also have shot this...or at least cropped it....as a vertical. I might have stepped around a little bit more to the right to get a different angle such that it would have centered them in that archway behind them.

Image 2) Move them one way or the other to center them in one of the frames behind them. The post coming out of his head divides the image. Have him turn a little more towards her, rest his weight on the back leg and point his front foot towards the camera. Have her straighten her left leg and point her left foot towards the camera which would make her leg look longer and add another leading line. I am not a fan of seeing random fingers/hands protruding where they shouldn't be. I call this "floating hands". His left hand sticking out around her waist ruins the curve of her lower back. The forward hands might look nicer if they were clasped together somehow, perhaps like a couple might do when dancing (old school). Just something besides a blob.

Image 3) This should be a vertical/portrait orientation. There no need for the added information that a horizontal crop provides. Again....floating hands....his right hand sticking out from behind her ruins the line/curve of her back. And....she only has 3 fingers! Loosen the crop a little and perhaps have his left arm holding her right arm under the elbow paying close attention to where fingers go. Their expressions on this one are very pleasing. Best of the series.

Image 4) Not sure what's going on here...but...I am more interested in what they are looking at instead of being engaged either with each other or the viewer/camera. The other things I see I've already covered...floating hand...straighten her left lag and point her foot towards the camera...he would benefit from the same kind of stance by resting his weight on his left leg and pointing his right foot towards the camera. He would appear a bit more relaxed.

I hope you don't hate me after this.

Larry,

All great observations and feedback. Trust me, I am my own worst critic. They had almost 30 images in their package. Several of the images encompassed your feedback. Getting him to look more engaged, etc. I grabbed 4 images that I thought were decent enough for the good people of FM to see.

These are fantastic. I would perhaps remove the red umbrella behind them in the first two shots if it's in your editing wheelhouse. Still great shots either way in my opinion.

Opening a can of worms....

They are a lovely couple and mot used to formal wear or posing.

- All images
1- The beautiful Lady
My main comment is an eternal issue with the Shoulders.
She is dropping her shoulders and slouching.
A deep breath and pulling her shoulders back,or better with a bit of tiptoeing will change her stance and posture dramatically to the better.

And the Corsage is usually worn on the left wrist.

2- The handsome man
The man's shoes do not match the ill fitting suit or the occasion.
- His right shoe lace is dragging on the floor.
- His left foot is stepping on the girls big toe inn the last picture.
- His pocket square (Pochette) is all over the place peeking out at different levels>
I think better stop the comments here.

All in all, they are a lovely couple.

Great catch on the umbrella. I should have removed it for them. It was very windy and there was trash, leaves, etc. all over the floor. I spent so much time on the debris I missed the umbrella.
