Thanks! I'm super lucky to have them close by in a couple locations during the autumn/winter months (not always guaranteed but a solid chance). The challenge is finding time and weather good enough to photograph (and it rains here a lot). They're mainly active in the early morning or in the late afternoon - so windows of opportunity are pretty narrow.
all I had to do was look on with jealousy at your lighting, and viola! I finally got some in half decent light myself

Stellar work.
I love those big orange eyes!
Ty. On a side note - it's amazing how much less sharp photo linked here looks than the one viewed directly on flickr (https://www.flickr.com/photos/lukemeup/53370996557/). To my eyes at least there's a noticeable difference. Not sure what's up with that.

Wow beautiful Egles especially but all are awesome!!
Thanks, guys - much appreciated. I waited on the side of a cliff for 2 hours for that Eagle to leave its perch haha - thankfully it did before the sun went down. Cheers!

Such a great hummingbird lens! I really like these two portraits... really nice bokeh on them.

Thanks, Bruce! I wish the lens focused a bit closer - these mages were shot in DX crop mode, at the MFD. I have an extension tube coming from B&H, which should help a lot.

Bald Eagles for a change. I wish I visited the Fraser Valley two weeks ago during salmon run (still saw 20-30 eagles today but the food was mostly gone).

Nice results! How much closer does the Fotodiox 15mm tube get you? And does it affect AF speed, accuracy, or tracking?
I measured it in the living room this morning, and the 15mm tube only gains you about 2 feet of working distance - not as much as I had thought. I may have to try the longer Fotodiox tube, which is 35mm.
I have not noticed any effects on AF performance, but I wouldn't really expect any since it's just a hollow tube.
