Now that is one beautiful image to sit and appreciate! Love the richness in color, love the layering and depth and a perfect choice on shutter speed for the water movement. I just wish I could get the whole pic to fit on my monitor but from top to bottom and left to right I have enjoyed it all

Thank you Karl! I appreciate that very much! I'm always conflicted about image size for uploading shots in portrait orientation. If I make them small enough to fit on my screen, they lose so much detail and I'm consistently impressed with the sharp detail and richness captured by the pairing of my "old" Sony A7 with the much older Minolta MD 35-70 Macro. I have newer Sony's and much more expensive glass but I really enjoy shooting in manual focus with this combination. Thanks again for your kind words! Steve

Thank you Ken! I appreciate that. I love shooting with this particular combination of what's now almost a legacy camera with what is most definitely a legacy lens. The two seem to complement each other very nicely, especially for scenes like this one. Thanks again for viewing and commenting! Steve

Lovely image that has a unique quality to it. I can't describe it very well but it kind of reminds me of shots from the Fuji x-tran sensor. Kind of life a subtle colour bleed with fine detail. Anyway, it's very nice.

What year was this taken? I know exactly where this is, but never stopped to go down there - was afraid it had been scarred by the Reynold's Fire?

Glacier has so many beautiful waterfalls - its red rock just does it for me.

Thanks for your kind words Doug. The photo was taken in September, 2019 within the larger area affected by the Reynolds fire. The effects of the fire can be seen in places on the hike down to the falls but the immediate area at the falls less so. Worth the short hike down and back. When I was there that September, even the burned areas had a certain beauty to them. Below is a link to another image I made then with the same camera/lens pairing not far from Baring Falls. I totally agree with you about Glacier's waterfalls and the red rocks! Got to return there very soon. And stay longer!

I figured it was September from the water level/flow. I live near the Park, so go there many times a year - just not right there. I even hiked over Siyeh Pass to my truck parked above those falls, and to St Mary Falls many times - just never wandered down that short trail. Shame on me. It's on my list for this year now!
