Morris - That reference was made tongue-in-cheek. From what I have read, glacial ice can be pure (with trace minerals, of course) depending on its location within the glacier, age, and formation processes.
Kenneth - the colour version is very good, especially the sky with those clouds. But I felt the b&w better conveyed the stillness and isolation I experienced that afternoon.
