Congratulations to Jeffrey for winning Feature Thread of the Week with 7 votes - View Previous Winners
I recently visited Morocco, and spent some time out of the cities and in the Sahara Desert. What a storied history, culture and legendary desert. Upon arrival, the late afternoon light was illuminating some dunes in their unique color glow. Very exciting seeing this for the first time. As a dunes of the western USA admirer, I was taken by this Northern Africa scene.
Jeffrey, the soft pink light on the dunes is just amazing. Did get to spend couple of nights out in the desert? There use to be some tours offering that.

Thanks! Yes I did. I stayed in a tented camp and even rode camels through the dunes. Maybe once in a lifetime for me.
Jeffrey, you captured the soft light just beautifully. Love that you included the foreground with the tree which adds a nice contrast to the dunes. Did you take a camel ride out into the desert to one of the camps?

Thanks Chez. Yes I rode a camel, and we stayed at the tented camp out in the desert. Legendary!
