From what I have read he has been more equipment fluid than many street shooters. He spent a long time shooting Leica M cameras with primes during the film Era. At one point he was shooting Nikon. A F3 with a 28-300 zoom on it. Then he went back to Leica with a SL and a Zoom. Last I read he had settled on a Leica Q2 with a 28mm f/1.7 prime. I am not sure if that is still the case.
Great photographer, and interesting guy no matter what he was shooting.
