I love the BW. I love the shadows and his side lit face.
Tones retain great detail and provide great depth and scale yet do not overpower a side lit composition!
Since your subject was the fellow photog, the crop is well done!

Thanks, Dan. I normally use a Viltrox 23mm f/1.4 (35 mm equiv) at this event but it requires a lot of movement on my part. The slower 18-200 worked in this case.

I found that I was missing too many pictures, while driving, because I didn't have an "all around" focal length lens.
So I bought a Canon( on B&S) 18-300 and carry that with a 5DSr with me everywhere!
Yeah no real critiques, it looks great! Nice "decisive moment" shot that looks like it could be an add for a retro camera or something in a nice magazine. If I was editing and really wanted to make it a bit more "me" I might do a local luminosity mask on the shadowed side of the face a lift it juuussst a bit to recover it a bit, but otherwise it's an awesome photo. Great call on black and white.
