Anyone use a monochrome modified Sony A7r II or similar? How satisfied are you with it?
I shoot with a modified rII (from Monochrome Imaging) and am satisfied with it. I'd be happier if Sony or someone would produce a dedicated mono with IBIS, 40MP or greater, BSI, and silent shutter so I could avoid having to import via Mono2DNG before moving into LR, but it's a minor complaint.

I would prefer that as well but I don’t think it’s going to happen. I also wish one would appear here on the B&S but that never happens either.

Might be a reason why they never show up on B&S.
I've had mine since July. Also A7r2 and also via Monochrome Imaging. Very pleased. CV 50 f2 apo about glued to it. I love not worrying about ISO. Monchrome2DNG is a breeze, too. Drag photos into the window. Click analyze + convert all...and done.
I have one as well. I had the a7r originally and then upgraded to the a7rii and found great improvement. The extra step isn't so bad IMO. I also have an M9M so while they produce similar output, each system has its specific advantages.
