Characteristics
The king dragonfly is one of the largest dragonflies in Europe. In Sweden, only the emperor dragonfly is larger, but since its occurrence in Sweden has only been observed but not yet investigated and certainly established as established, the king dragonfly, together with the reed mosaic dragonfly, is the largest species that certainly reproduces in Sweden. The king dragonfly, however, has a longer hind body than the reed mosaic dragonfly, even though the wing widths are comparable. In addition to the size, another characteristic of the king dragonfly is the clear striped black and yellow drawing, which both males and females have. The wings are transparent with a light blue-black wing mark. The wing width is 90 to 110 millimeters and the length of the hind body is 52 to 65 millimeters.
Have a nice weekend everyone
Ronny
Ps: The dragonflies in Sweden have a few months left before they come again

Extremely inspirational and sets a really high bar for me. I love shooting Dragonflies and Damsels and yours are always top notch. Just an exquisite set !

What fabulously sharp photos. The colours on both species are fabulous. The damselfly seems to shimmer when I scroll the photo up an down (maybe that's just my screen).

Wow! You are spot on with both those lenses and with TC's onboard too.
Beautiful images buddy, I'm a sucker for the last two but man those dragons are gorgeous too! Excellent set
Golden-ringed dragonfly with big green eyes designed for supersonic flight with aerodynamic body. The stealth night-attacker? Any special diet? F-35 of the insect world. Noiseless in flight? Great photography.
