I have the original L-Bracket from Smallrig. I removed the side bracket and just use the bottom plate. If I have to put it in portrait mode? I have a notch in my ballhead.

I have a SmallRig one... not as nice as the RRS I had on my Canon 6dMk2, but lighter on the pocket book. Fits great, was pleasantly surprised.

I ordered the Gabale, it just arrived. Fits perfect. The 'battery door' mechanism is nice and tight but not too tight. I'm happy with it.
