I hope you have had an excellent start to the year and I wish you the best for the year ahead.
I share with you some photographs taken on my last trips to the Yasuní area in the Amazon basin of Ecuador, this is one of my favorite destinations for the diversity of fauna and different ecosystems and there are always new species on each trip.
I hope you like these photos and that you are encouraged to visit Ecuador at some point.
The photos of Black-faced Dacnis and Turquoise Tanager were taken with the Sony A6600 camera, the other photos were taken with the Sony A1. In both cases, I used the 200-600mm lens.
The Pygmy Marmoset, genus Cebuella, is a small genus of New World monkey native to rainforests of the western Amazon Basin in South America. It is notable for being the smallest monkey and one of the smallest primates in the world, at just over 100 grams (3.5 oz).
Wonderful images of amazing birds, at least, most of them, Javier! I hope I would be able to see and photograph them before too long. The Pygmy marmoset is adorable.
