Some portraits I took of someone I follow on social media and wanted to photograph for a long time after seeing him on Rupaul's Drag Race as one of the Pit Crew.
Shot using an original Canon 5D with a Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro usm lens and a Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens.
Some people may not like the nail polish, but personally I think it's a nice personal touch that gives a glimpse into Aram's personality.
Well done. This is a great set! #3 is my favorite, but they're all so great it's really hard to choose one. I agree with friscoron that I'm usually not a fan of broad lighting, but the way you lit it and his structure absolutely works here.

This is really great! I love the lighting! How did you achieve that, if you don't mind me asking?
Thank you. I used a single neewer c300 strobe with a softbox, and a silver reflector. The strobe was positioned at a somewhat high angle in order to achieve a sculpting effect on Aram's features.

First and last images really do it for me!!! I normally don't like broad lighting but it works perfectly on this guy in that first shot. Great job!!!
Thank you Ron. Broad lighting isn't my favorite either, but I don't imagine this guy could look bad in any lighting if I'm being honest.

Thank you for the response. Sounds simple and efficient!
