Thank you! I didn't quite get the quality of light that I was hoping for, but I was happy with how it came out in post. We stayed in San Quirico D'Orcy at the Casanova Wellness center hotel. If / when we go back one day, I'd absolutely stay here again. This photo spot is about 650m NE of the hotel. There was a guy staying at the hotel that was operating his drone from his balcony with his morning coffee......well played I said!
From this hotel, you're really only about 30 min or less to a number of other quality spots for photography and some of the best tourist spots to go to. It's also a nice hotel to enjoy as well.
The two regrets I had were not being there a week earlier when they had some fog in the valleys, and not owning a drone. Tuscany photography really does thrive with a drone. I found several classic spots now closed off to foot traffic and drones get far better perspectives. That said, not having it forced me to look for images that aren't cooked by other photographers. The image above I shared is a classic Tuscany location for good reason, but I was happy to pick out a spot or two that I haven't seen online yet.

I only spent a little time there but let me know if you want more info. I'll share a few tips while they're fresh. Baccoleno gates were closed and it seemed like they weren't interested in photographers entering the property and taking the high ground for the classic shot with a telephoto lens there......so a drone is a must if you want that shot. The view point I had was not exciting at all from my perspective......there's no separation of subject to background at sunset from where we were. Here are a couple of examples (not really edited, just sharing for perspective):
Perhaps I could find some way of editing these to my interest, but I was pretty disappointed that I didn't have a plan B. I wished I owned a drone at that point.
Here's another shot at a different location. Again, haven't really spent enough time editing yet and short on time so will improve it later, But if you stay at the Casanova Wellness center, you can have a peek at the light and then run outside just to the side of their tennis court and snap off some shots of the hills if you like the light that morning. Super handy. I think I was standing on the roof of some shed (very sturdy) when I took this photo:
Does everyone have this, at 24mm, at an aperture of 4 - 5.6, is vignetting visible in the corners? The correction in the camera is turned on for everything.

Nope. Double-check that you have the correct lens hood mounted?
