Rising sun beaming down into the Paluxy River bottom at Dinosaur Valley State Park last Friday. The park was lovely and we had overcast weather with a bit of fine mist as a cold front came through.
Glad I had the 24-120 for a Sunday afternoon as I saw a train coming up grade. We stopped on a wooden bridge and my crew waved. If you look closely, you can see the fireman waving back from the cab. The fall colors here are nice. It's hard to imagine that we were in a extreme drought less than a few months ago based on these fall colors and that a wildfire burned several hundred acres just down the hill behind this train at the time.
In praise of the 24-120 which was useful for shooting (a bit unsharp sans tripod/filters at f/22 and 1/2 second exposure, but still very presentable at Colorado Bend State Park's Gorman Falls:
