I absolutely love this lens. Former Sony user and I had the 24-105 and it was good but this is such an amazing lens that sometimes it feels like I used a prime to get some of the shots I took. A lot of folks will say that at f4 it’s not suitable for portrait work but I disagree. I trust it for portrait work.

Great work here. What the Nikon forum lacks. Pictures of humans.
Thank you very much and funny you say that. I sometimes post on the Nikon Z forums on Reddit, and get very low upvotes on my pictures of people. But others will post a photo of a tree and they'll get 100 upvotes. Now the pictures of the trees and birds in flight are nice, but there does seem to be a lack of interest in human subjects in the Nikon world. This took me by surprise when I switched over and learned a large portion of the user base is nature and wildlife.
Found myself in south Fort Worth yesterday exploring some of the older parts of the city. There are some large grain elevators along Main Street and the railroads there that would make interesting photo subjects, especially with a tilt/shift lens. For now, the 24-120 will have to do.
I had another good comp of all the structures but couldn't stop and get out of the vehicle under the circumstances. Perhaps I'll get a chance some other time. It was lined out perfectly with trains/repair equipment on most of the tracks and made for a very dynamic scene.

just for reference there is an area in Buffalo NY called Silo City. Buffalo was a major port in the great lakes chain. lots of great history up there.
i lived/worked up in Cheektowaga for a few months (1974 over 6 of course starting in the winter too) sort of someone's idea of amusement. paid off in the end.
I love this lens, too. I spent a day testing it out on the Z6 and came away happy to own it.
buddy, love those shots, great composition and lighting...
Jim, love your fashion work, absolutely stunning.
Back in the day when I lived in Miami I did a lot of fashion work. Although I don't shoot fashion anymore, I still love
well created fashion images.
