Thank you very much! For the eagle shots, I think I just used the "wide" focus mode and let the camera do its job. I am not all certain if the bird eye AF actually worked in some of the situations, once in a while I saw the AF point sticking on the flying eagle's eye if they were close enough, but I doubt the bird eye AF was able to pick out the eagle's eye in the fight scene, as they were really far away, probably over 100 meters away, I am just guessing. To give you some ideas of the distance, the final JPEG files of the eagles fighting are only about 1.5 MP after heavy cropping, from the Sony A1's 50 MP sensor, at 840mm focal length.
