Cactus Wrens are fairly common throughout the Sonoran Desert area of the southwest, and are officially recognized as Arizona's state bird. About the size of a common Robin, their coloration blends with their surroundings making them difficult to locate as they strut through the cactus and undergrowth. They are very expressive little birds making them fun to watch and photograph.
Here's a selection of several photographs I've taken over the past several months. All with the Canon R5 and EF 100-400. As always, comments and suggestions are welcome.
Excellent captures of the wren, Tom! I scrolled up and down a few times. Sharp target, great poses, wonderful colors, smooth background; just exquisite and enjoyable images.
