p.1 #1 · Exploring Autumn Color in Michigan's Upper Peninsula
Howdy everyone,
In October I headed to the Michigan UP for a week to camp, scout, and hopefully find some pleasing fall color compositions. I had an amazing time exploring dirt roads through beautiful forests and to quiet lakes, and some time spent along the sublime Lake Superior shoreline. This region is so peaceful to me. I hope this image set conveys a bit of the glory there and my passion for it. Thanks for looking!
Cheers,
Ross

Bringing back so many memories. I used to live in Michigan and as kids went camping each year. I have really wanted to go back. Perhaps next year. Great images

Very nicely done, congrats on some great shots and a great trip. I definitely have some things to learn looking at your shots, I've never processed UP shots to my liking that look like yours!

I appreciate that positive feedback, thank you! I do enjoy bringing images to life in Lightroom and I try to let processing serve my vision for the original composition, especially the communication of the emotions I experienced in the field.

Great set!! I've only been in the UP in summer, but someday...
Reflection Perfection is dynamite.
Wow, thanks to each of you for viewing and commenting, I really appreciate the positive vibes! It makes me happy that others also enjoy the beauty. The UP is really special to me in autumn. Much more solitude is available especially when intentionally getting lost on the many forests service roads, compred to most places in the midwest and east that are more crowded.

Coming from the Los Angeles area, these are quite delightful. We just don't have much approaching these sorts of opportunities in any sort of broad or convenient way.
