I've been so fortunate to spend a little time the last 8 summers at Lake Clark National Park and Preserve in Alaska. After my guests left, I brought in my family for a week, including my 6 year old daughter. I set up my kid with a 300mm prime and a tripod and let her go. I figure if she gets hooked on photography, she'll never have money for other addictions.
We had lots of bear families running around which is always my favorite to watch the interaction.
A stop by a remote island to photograph the puffins while they nest and bring back food for the young.
Who took these photos, you or your daughter? Regardless, they are terrific!
The puffins are a nice addition to the usual Lake Clark variety. I like them all.
How did you get close to the fox? Love that shot.
Nice variety of shots. Quite a contrast between bears and comical looking puffins. Will likely run into you at Chilkat next week. Noticed you'll be there conducting a workshop.
Superb Matt. Love the one with the little one looking down at the adult's feet. At 6 they love to imitate. You will have to see if she continues as a teenager. Still great fun to shoot with the family.
