I posted this in the 50 1.2 Nokton thread in color but I think I like it better in B&W.
Young girl who was there with her father at a hospital event I photographed on Sat. I really liked the available light. And I thought it worked really well as a square.
Leica M 10 and Voigtlander 50 1.2 Nokton at 1.2.
Like the comfort you guys show at cropping body parts. I'm usually afraid my images will look bad if I do that. Gonna have to let go a bit relax.
Thanks for posting that nice photo. Just a question there is a bit of shine on her nose. Do you accept that as part of the photo because it's a candid?
Hi Doc and thanks. To me the eyes were the important element. The top of the head not so much. There was nothing there helping. in this comp I like where the eyes are in the frame.
Yeah I hear ya Dan but for me, unless it is specifically a formal type portrait or an environmental portrait for publication or that type of professional use for clients, I tend to shy away from a lot of retouching. Especially if it is for me first as this was.
