Hello friends, I share some pictures about one of my favorite birds the Andean Cock-of-the-rock
In March I had the opportunity to use the Canon R5 + 400mm F2.8 in during one of my photography trips in Colombia.
On this occasion we visit the city Jardín de Antioquia to photograph this beautiful bird in which for me it is the best lek in the world, this for several reasons such as the proximity of the place and mainly that the Andean Cock-of-the-rock here is not shy at all and sometimes you can photograph it at less than 5 meters away.
The autofocus as well as the noise at high ISOs impressed me.
Beautiful captures. We have at least two leks in the Cali area. My neighbor had a female fly into her window. It was unharmed and after perching a while flew off. I was hoping she'd start a lek. The same neighbor has nesting Lyre-tailed Nightjars.
