She's beautiful. To kick it up a notch, clone out the bright patch behind her.
I viewed the image with your suggestion in mind. On the one hand, I understand that its brightness may draw the eye away from the subject, but on the other hand it keeps the background from being dull and uninteresting. I feel the photo was taken somewhere other than in front of a bland seamless paper.
It's a very nice photo, but the only thing I would point out is that the skin tone is leaning a little to the yellow/orange side.
I also worked with the background light spot and I really think it adds more than it hurts the image. It was taken in open shade natural light, later in the afternoon. The skin tone is a more to the late afternoon yellow/orange tone of that time of day.
I absolutely love this photo. It's simple, but perfectly executed. I like the background light. I think it adds a little more depth and interest to the photo. The only thing that would make this photo even better for me would be if she was looking directly into the camera lens.
Thanks for the comment. I had another version where she was looking more directly into the camera. Almost posted it instead. I'll give it another look.
Thanks to everyone who voted for Andie's photo as the image of the week. She is a really nice girl and a pleasure to work with. I am sure she is pleased about the selection.
