Early every morning you can see a stream of people light up a candle and place it within a bowl and set the bowl adrift into the Ganges river. This tradition is carried out at dawn and dusk every day. The bowl symbolizes the soul and setting it adrift on the Ganges represents the link between the inner and outer worlds.

Like in any religion, most of the people that practice the religion are very peaceful, but a small extremest minority always cause the conflicts. In India, there has been many conflicts between the different religious sects ( Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Buddhist etc... ) throughout the years, yet the vast majority of the people are very peaceful.
