- I hope the nose ring trend dies a horrible, fiery death. I mean, how can you *not* think of the bovine reference here

Thank you..not a big fan of piercing either but that is a part of who she is. Ones a art model the other works with CDC and infectious diseases.

Nice picture. I love the mood you create with the B&W. I think there posture is best portrayed in that color
Thanks Chris, grew up with B&W and agree that in this case B&W makes a stronger image. Really like to get what I call Chromy tones in the skins highlights.
The conversion to B&W was done excellently; I enjoy the image very much, John! I am also not a fan of nose piercing. On some folks, it may look okay though but somehow, not so much here. It is beyond your control though.

Thanks Joshua love playing with B&W especially with portraits.
Also not a fan of most body mods whether it be tattoos or piercings, but them I'm an old fart and who grew up in the mid sixties. Lots of arguments about hair length and style of clothes especially with my parents, and just as I felt then, it's not my place to dictate anothers choice.
I really like the image. To me it conveys the connection between mother and daughter very well. Excellent lighting, good pose, even the expressions are good. I would guess that your clients are very happy.

I also was in that generation John. A war sort of put a damper on my hair style and how I dressed for 6 years and also I was "follically challenged" anyway! . Then 40 years as a fed wearing a suit everyday......Don't like what I see today but not judging them.
I agree with you 100%!!!

I like the B&W and lighting effect. Can you give us some info on the LED used?
Light was not mine but if I recall it was a 18" Westcott LED Ring Light. Light was attached to a stand and probably at a height around 6ft about 45deg angle towards the subject. Distance to subject about 3ft and the color temp was set a little warm. Was not shooting through the ring.
