p.1 #1 · Four seasons of an iconic Oregon waterfall

I am fortunate to live a short 40 minute drive to Oregon's largest waterfall, Multnomah Falls. Here is Multnomah Falls in all 4 seasons. They were taken with a variety of cameras (Canon EOS 20D, EOS 5D, EOS 5D Mk II). I will have to visit again with the R5 to capture all four seasons again with the same lens.

#2 Summer is my favorite with the best tones and saturation.

The winter one is my favorite of the four. The frost and ice gives it such a dramatic edge!

The look of the fall one does it for me. I really enjoy seasonal projects like this, I should do more. I have taken a wintery shot of the falls as well and it's such an interesting shot compared to the other seasons.

Thank you. I had to wait for nearly an hour to get that one without anyone on the bridge.

Thank you. It is hard to convey how dramatic it is. There are icicles that are over 30 feet long

Thanks Harold, this fall the colors will likely be a bust as we have had a very hot summer.

Wow that fall shot is such a winner. I mean all are winners, but the colors in the fall one are especially good.

You have way more patience than I have. I was there in the Summer and Fall months and just cloned out people on the bridge. I don't think I ever got less than 2-3. After walking up, everyone wants to spend time on the bridge looking down.

Thanks DanielJStein. I will likely have to wait until next fall for colors like this again. This summer has been unseasonably hot and dry. There has not been any measurable rain since 15 June 2021. Lots of deciduous trees leaves have been burned by the scorching sun, which reached 116 degrees this summer.

Normally the bridge has 15-50 people on it during most parts of the day now. The photos without people were take very late in the day (near sunset) except the winter picture as the trail to the top was closed due to ice.

Thank you! Since the Eagle Creek fire and closure in 2017 has put added pressure on other locations in the Columbia Gorge. The parking areas for waterfalls and hikes are full 7 days a week (rain or shine) from not long after sunrise to sunset.

Thank you kmunroe! Though I prefer all of them, I do agree that fall and winter do share qualities that are not possible with spring and summer.

Nothing to be jealous about. I am sure there are many things in your are that do not exist here.

Nice work, these would make a nice dissolve sequence in a slide show. I like the fall and winter best.
