Deertrap Mountain is the central peak in Zion, with views down in to the main canyon, east canyon, both temples, angel's landing and more. Being up there on Monday was quite a wonderful hike and view.
Proof that after 21 years in Zion, there's still some places I've not been. Keep exploring.

I would think yes. There is no water but lots of space. The official ranger answer may differ. Don't want to be there when lightning comes through though. Saw lots of tree with lightning strike signs.
