Gorgeous photos! I'm curious how much/what kind of post processing you've done with them.
Just returned from a backpacking trip myself with my Canon 6D, 24-105mm and a tripod. I’ve done lots of backpacking but never with this much photo gear… I’ll definitely just be bringing the nifty fifty next time!

Fabulous stuff and worth well the efforts! Stay fit, healthy and strong!!!
My dad was carrying 60lb backpacks up major mountains (like hike in and maybe climb a day, establish basecamp, then climb the mountain the second day and then hike out) about 5X a year from age 30 into his 70's, until he had an injury and had to have surgery. He is still doing the hiking, but has backed off major mountains, and he is 83 now. Still fit and strong. But his passion, consistency, dedication and work ethic was unusual. He never fluctuated more than 5 or 6 pound in bodyweight for over 50 years. He still goes to the gym 3X a week, and takes walks and hikes during the week.
It is the inconsistency or the injuries that can really mess us up.
Really nice shots, I didn't follow all the thread, was the moon in shot 3 added in PP? #4 is my favorite.
Anyway, I wanted to give you some material to read (also to all of the backpackers here). Chris at dpreview is an incredible resource for hiking backpacks with photography in mind (this is real backpacking bags, which are orders of magnitude better than photo backpacks; so you have to add your gear using ICUs or other types of padded bags).
