I've purchased the Fever pack and tested the Fuji S5 Pro in an image straight out of the camera.
I found it to be very pleasant for skintones.
Here is a comparison to Adobe Color using the same exact Lightroom settings (WB: Daylight)
What's your favorite so far for skin tones? Guessing its hard to pick
This thread is another reminder of just how bad the standard Adobe profiles are for Sony cameras. IMHO that's one of the main reasons why so many people are always complaining about the "Sony color science".

I tend to like the D200 here.
thanks for sharing!
Me too.
I also downloaded the examples you provided with your review and I already liked the D200 profile back then.
Fred, I bought the Canon Contemporary pack but I'm having mixed results with that one.
As I mentioned in Gabriel's thread I don't find the EOS R profile to be accurate.
Since I owned that camera next to my Sony cameras I shot some comparisons and when applying the EOS R profile to my Sony shots the saturation of greens and reds really is too strong compared to the real EOS R.
(When I apply the 5DIV profile it looks much closer, so it really isn't a problem of choosing the wrong hue.)

Humm. Don't have that set so can't comment on it. I've never tried the Nikon D200 or Fuji Pentax645d emulations either.
From what I have, the Canon vintage and Fuji S5 Pro do skin tones with grace. I like the others too (Leica, Fuji GFX, Kodak) but use it when I want an effect on the images.
Me too.

Ok, a couple of stupid questions.
I moved to sony about 1 1/2 years ago. A7riv and A1 bodies.
I moved away from lightroom with the a7riv as I did not like the colors, and moved to dxo.
I use capture one for my black and white work, not color.
These profiles might get me back to lightroom.
I assume I buy a basic pac for each of my cameras?
The additional emulation pacs, do I have to buy one for each camera, or can I use both cameras as long as I have the basic pac for each camera?
It sounds like the profiles work in dxo. Do the emulation pacs work in dxo also, or only camera raw/lightroom.
Thanks

Yep, one basic for each camera model, and after that, every single emulation set will work on these cameras so you need just one emulation pack for all the cameras supported by our basic profiles.
I didn't know you could use the coupon only once? I thought you could use it freely until July.
I now get this message when I want to buy additional profiles: "Coupon usage limit has been reached."
I've not seen this product before and it has of course peaked my interest. What is not clear to me from their website is how their pricing structure is set up. Do you need to purchase a copy for each and every camera type you use? On their site it looks to me that it is the equivalent of 30 lbs per camera if I understand it right (not counting the discount). So if I have 4 cameras and want to use it on all of them its 39 x 3 ?
Also I guess if you want to use both Capture 1 and Adobe you would have to purchase it x 2 for a camera?
Also I could tell from the site if there are different simulation package as well. Maybe I am not understanding it.
Can someone explain? Thank you
You must buy the base package for every camera. The base package has a few standard profiles tailored to the camera. They designed the profiles so that photos from any camera will look basically the same in terms of color. So if you process a Canon R5 shot and a Nikon D850 shot taken at the same time, both with their respective base cobalt profiles, they should look close to identical.
Then you can also buy their profiles that simulate other cameras or films. They work in conjunction with the camera-specific base profile. So you only need to buy the simulation profiles once, no matter how many cameras you have. If you get a new camera, you buy a new base profile, and the simulation profiles you have will then work with the new camera.
That said, the pricing can climb up rather quickly.
Edit -- Note the above applies to lightroom. Their capture one product works differently which I'll let others explain
I bought the base profile pack for my camera with the intention of getting accurate skin tones in portraits. Something I know I struggle with achieving in post. I then bought the Kodachrome pack for fun. Haven’t had time to dive into any of it yet but looking forward to it.
