These captures look very magical. I love the reds from the first photo. Overall I love sunsets a lot. They always transport you to some peaceful place. I have great memories from my childhood regarding sunsets in the fields and your photos just reminded me of those. Great work.
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing the images with us! I have been studying this for many years (seeing these occasional blazing color shows, and at the moment I am looking at them considering carefully how saturated in Post-Processing one would have to make it to match what I am seeing. And SO OFTEN I know people will not believe the color intensity if it was processed literally. Even when i pull back sometimes, people think the colors have been jacked up. It is an interesting subject. When one spends 100-300 days a year photographing landscapes, and has a 4-5 year backlog of hard drives to pull from, it is easy to understand why some may think the post processing might be pushed. I have over the years decided that pulling back just a hair is a wise idea in the age of the ability to hyper post process. Just for believability sake. I'm not suggesting that for others at all, That is just with my work. Well, maybe with the exception of Instagram where people love more bangin images.
Thanks Mark Ya I couldn't believe the intensity of the colours. I am not a landscape photographer at all ... so I was super happy when I saw these. When I looked out the west window it was kind of gray.. I went downstairs and saw deep red out of the east.. grabbed my camera, jumped in the car and left . We had had an equally spectacular sunset the night before, which I couldn't get to.. this made up for it!!
The trouble with images like this is that most people will assume you have pumped up the saturation levels. That is my impression, even if you haven't. Some things just do not look entirely believable, which is a shame. I think you had to be there to experience it.
