Well, nokishita is simply a lot more reliable... if we believed everything they write on SAR, we'd have had A7SIII 2 years ago .
To draw an analogy to Canon Rumors, SAR posts the full gamut of potential rumors, Nokishita only posts CR3. Could Nokishita be wrong? Of course. But there is a consistent confidence level in what he posts, while SAR doesn’t always do a great job with indicating how reliable the source/information behind any given rumor is.

Definitely not a disservice to me. SAR helps me keep up to date with what might be coming down the pike. I think he is pretty up front about his sources and perceived credibility. When actual announcements are made, he lists them immediately and gathers lots of reviews, too.
Respectfully, your comment reminds me of the old adage: "They write that just to sell newspapers."
We are seriously in trouble if we have to depend on rumor sites to buy gear. Sorry your brain washed on that thinking
And they are writing that to sell newspapers. It’s all click bait, why the site exists. Whatever floats your boat
My other problem with SAR is the sheer amount of advertisement disguised as posts... McKinnon Kickstarter this!, fraudulent battery raising a million that!, Topaz sale!, Luminar!, DxO! - limited time only! (no, wait it's back every 2 weeks)... the ratio is totally off and the posts are barely attributed as ads if you look very close.
Honestly I really love my sigma 35 1.2 and don't mind the weight at all. I carry the 105 1.4 all the time
I think if there are two focal lengths that I will have the most amount of lenses of it will be the 35 and 85mm. I wonder what a re-done 105 1.4 will look like. I love the straight out of camera look of that lens as it has barely any vignetting and distortion which the 85 1.4 has some of that I don't mind really. I kinda tend to not even actually use the lightroom lens profile as I think it does too much vignetting correction in some cases and degrades the character of the lens but hey that's just me thinking
I wanna see their 40 1.4 redone. Man I so loved that lens and still am thinking of adding it for my kit for family events and landscapes. It was so flippin sharp! I think next time I see a sale on B&H I will jump the gun.
SAR is pure commercial degeneracy. A glance today shows they have no fewer than 11 hopefuls starring in their own movies as they tell all their fans about the GM 14/1.8. It's a goner. So are most of them.
If I'm right, Sigma will not release any 'remake' of a heavyweight lens until it is better than the one it replaced. Better at half the weight and size. They did not care back then, now it's a #1 priority for them.

Sorry, no brainwashing--My boat floats on 35 years of experience in the field. A bit of advice to you my eager friend--best to not put all your faith in any single source, whatever the topic, or publication.
I’m 45 and experienced as just about anyone. I never put my faith in a crap site like that but whatever floats your boat. I honestly don’t care at all.

You must realize that is not a product of SAR but of the equipment companies knowing they'll get lots of free promotion from the current crop of mostly younger YouTubers.
I think we all have to ferret through which reviewers give us the most useful information. But I don't blame SAR / Andrea for putting all of the links up to the video reviews. I tend to gravitate toward certain people I trust, particularly guys like Dustin Abbott, and certainly Mark Galer.
I agree that some of the folks passing themselves off as reviewers have little knowledge or help to impart. But that shouldn't damn the good ones.
As far as all the promos go for kickstarter projects, etc., I can usually do without those too! Every now and then I do find an intriguing one, but no so often!

How can you not blame the commercial bull shit Andreas puts up on his site. He is benefiting from that commercialism.
I would never give these you tubers the time of day and when I owned GetDPI we did not give them the time of day. I would never put my rubber stamp on that complete crap. That’s not photography,

Anyway don’t care anymore
I do think we have some common ground there. Not sure why some of them are blessed by the equipment companies to get gear in advance. Still, some excellent reviewers are out there for sure.
You want your 35 year respect which I would be happy to give and I’d be happy to do that but get your head out of the sand. Your not helping our youth with real data and truth. That site is poison to our industry
We could argue all day long but I have far better things to do. Seriously you need to think about this. Good luck
And I know you don't want or are open to my advice. . . Yet a bitter attitude doesn't often help the creative drive when it comes to making evocative, meaningful pictures.
There are exceptions. Hemingway continued to do strong writing well after he become strongly embittered. Sadly, it caught up to him eventually. I've been thinking of creative motivations since watching the fantastic Ken Burns doc on him this week

Because the real talent out there is not going to jump in bed with them and seriously tarnish there reputation and I do like Dustin and Mark Galer but do you really want to be bought and paid for. I’d throw up first
The camera companies don't pay those reviewers, typically. Yet they do know that if they trash the gear they are not likely to be invited to review more. . .
AND NOW BACK to our regularly scheduled program. . . The intriguing Sigma 35mm f1.4, coming soon to a YouTuber video near you!
Seriously your defending a money making click bait site. For that your not going to get my respect. Not that you care as all this does is keep promoting these complete and utter morons and new shooters to the world are not learning anything. I'm glad my career is coming to a close as the industry has turned to hell. I would think after 35 years in the field you actually get IT.
I do not understand the reason why SAR is under discussion while most of the sites making the same or similar job are not.
Do you really believe that people spend resources and energies for nothing?
If you are not interested simply ignore it.
I have a confession to make - I’m curious about the next gadget to come, so I read Sonyalpharumors and Nokishita regularly. There I said it.
Btw reading Sonyalpharumors or Nokishita is in no way morally wrong. No more than reading, hearing or watching any other commercial anywhere. This is how a market economy works!
Not sure why there is so much hate for rumor sites. It’s called RUMOR and not sonyalphafacts. It’s all part of discussion on possible new technologies. FM forums has its share of rumor posts as well.
