There in the Buddhist training center in Engyo-ji, a temple on Mount Shosha, a student endlessly rakes the barren ground in the temple complex. Perhaps he is doing this in meditation or as a penance for some infraction.
The temple is a large complex spread over the mountain top and away from the nearest city of Himeji, Japan. Because of its isolation, it was used for parts of the movie, "The Last Samurai".
